Our little cheeky monkey is a charmer. At only 18 months of age he knows how to turn it on to woo the ladies. Any lady in fact. Whether we are in a queue at a coffee shop, shopping at the supermarket, or wandering around the zoo, he draws female attention like a magnet.
He is also pretty adept at finding the prettiest little girl in a room and showering her with attention. But where has he got this from? My husband swears it isn’t him, although I am often suspicious of the amount of time he spends at play barns; and I certainly don’t give women the eye.
Harry doles out kisses freely, whilst he gives them to me only when he wants something. Should I break this pattern? If I leave it, am I setting myself up for trouble as he moves in to his teenage years?
On reflection perhaps it is in the genes. I tend to get attention from anyone that fits in to the “vulnerable adult” category. Over the years I have had quite a few weird and wacky conversations and not all of them instigated by me. So I guess it could be worse.
For now I am happy to sit back and be proud that my son is confident enough to interact with others, bribe my little cheeky monkey for more kisses, and oh yes….spy on my husband at play barns.
