Crunchie Bar Tiffin Slice

Crunchie Bar Tiffin Slice

These Crunchie bar tiffin slices are so easy to make that even your children can make them. There is no baking involved so it is safe to get your children involved. Crunchie bar tiffin slices are so cheap to make as they require just a handful of ingredients.

But don’t let that fool you, because they are packed full of taste. Just a word of warning though, you will find it a necessity to have a slice every time you have a hot drink!

A winning recipe for all the family to enjoy.  I hope you like them as much as we do.

Crushed Cadbury Crunchie Bars mixed with biscuits, and chocolate to make the perfect tiffin slice. So simple to make. No bake slice. Only problem is that one slice is never enough.
Here is what you need and how easy it is to make them.

Crunchie Bar Tiffin Slice

Super easy to make.

Requires just a handful of ingredients.

No baking involved.

Costs 40p a slice (based on 12 slices).

Course Dessert, Snack
Prep Time 15 minutes
Cook Time 1 hour 30 minutes
Total Time 1 hour 45 minutes
Servings 12

Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp Golden Syrup
  • 200 grams Oaties Biscuits (or equivalent)
  • 1 bar White Chocolate 200g
  • 1 bar Milk Chocolate 200g
  • 150 grams Butter
  • 5 bars Crunchie

Instructions

  1. Break up the milk chocolate and place it in a microwave bowl.

  2. Add the golden syrup and butter to the chocolate.

  3. Slowly melt in the microwave.  I do mine in 30 second bursts and take it out to give it a good stir before putting it back in again.

  4. Crush the biscuits using a food processor until they look like breadcrumbs.

  5. Crush the Crunchie bars.  For this I use a rolling pin as I want non-uniform chunks in the slices.

  6. Combine all the ingredients together and give it a good stir.

  7. Pour the contents in to a square baking tin (20cm) and push it down so that you have an even top surface.  Make sure to grease the inside of the tin, or better still line it so that you can lift the slab out easier once it has set.

  8. Melt the white chocolate in the microwave (as above).

  9. Add a layer of white chocolate to the top.

  10. Cover and leave to rest.  You could put it in the fridge if you want but I prefer just to leave mine to one side.

  11. Once set (usually about 3 hours), cut in to as many pieces as you like.  Serving with a hot cup of tea is optional!

Recipe Notes

All of my ingredients are bought in Aldi.  However any of the items can be found in any other supermarket.  Whilst I recommend making 12 slices you can make more or less depending on how much of a sweet tooth you have.

Hope you enjoy them.

So easy to make as well. Perhaps the kids could do them as an inexpensive valentines treat. Although be warned if they are anything like Harry then there wasn’t much ingredients left when it got down to actually making them. 🙂
